Rotactio Design: Ultra Compact Vehicles, Bicycles and Seats

Rotactio Design is a subbrand of the main brand Solo Form. The field and directions of development cover: Development of ultra compact vehicles – with foot and electric drive. Different types of small vehicles – bicycles, tricycles, quadricycles, etc. Compact vehicles (utility vehicles) for various activities – for a walk in the park or in nature; for delivery of mail and various types of utilities; in production workshops, warehouses and farms – for material transfer and waste disposal; for specialized transportation of disabled people, etc. The vehicles will be mainly single-seater, but according to the purpose and needs, two-seater variants are also possible.

Technological advances are forcing vehicle management areas to take on new dimensions. Their drive is changing and evolving alongside the needs of the people. The interior in the vehicle must ensure accessibility to the functions and adaptive ergonomic structure of the controls. The main focus in driving the vehicles is a multifunction steering wheel with joysticks and zones, suggesting its functions. Development of control panels and controls for different types of vehicles: variants of structures and main panels of boards; steering wheels with joysticks and separate areas for handles; joysticks with control buttons; speedometers in the form of car dashboard consoles. The idea is for the dashboard control panels to have areas with interactive access to information, through touch screens, motion sensors and voice command devices. The need for people to move, do sport and leisure time has contributed to the evolution and development of a product, such as the bicycle. As a structure, functionality and development opportunities, it has become a constantly changing product. Bikes have a variety of applications and there are different types and modifications: urban bicycle; mountain bicycle; road bicycle; bicycle track; modification “BMX”; “Chopper” modification; varieties of electric bicycles; freight bicycle; rickshaw and others. The developments will focus on city bikes, and in particular, on mountain bikes variants.

Like every other product, the seat has its purpose and requirements to meet. It is an example of how the product should interact with the person. Functionality and ergonomics are essential for this type of products, combined with a balanced structure, manufacturing technology and materials used. The development of seats will be directed in the intendance of – ultra compact vehicles; areas for temporary stay in large vehicles (city buses, minibuses, etc.); adapted recreation areas; for different types of hobbies – entertainment, etc.

PROJECTS:

The “Game Cockpit” project is a development with potential for a final product. The extremely useful base of another project will be used, which will contribute to its smooth transition from design, through development and reaching test models and basic prototype. This project has the potential to reach a pre-production prototype, which will increase the chances of reaching the final product. The project “Hardware Device with stand” will focus on intensive development, whose main goal is the final product. This is a project with an already completed process and a significant basis, which gives indications that a real product can be obtained. Re-passing the design stages is in order to improve and optimize. It will go through test models, main prototypes, reaching pre-production prototypes. The development is oriented towards the construction of a product line. The next project is a product with a well-known application on the market – “Tablets”. It is also a development with priority for the final product. There is a well-developed conceptual basis and selected solutions for further development, with specified application and product types. They are to be developed in the form of 3D CAD models. The developments are planned to pass through test models, basic prototypes, reaching pre-production prototypes. The planned end product is focused on different areas – “type of replaceable panels”, with the relevant hardware and its application. The development “Panel – Reader for Blind People” is an upgrade based on a project that has reached a specific level of development. The goal is to achieve the production of at least two detailed basic prototypes. It is not yet clear whether this will lead to a working demonstration prototype. At this stage, the only goal is to optimize the development in a specific direction for presentation. The project at this stage does not have priority to reach the final product. Due to various specifics and excessive scale – such as the cost of completing the development, as well as the estimated final price of the product. Another project that is part of the presentation of the brand “Fulmech Design” is the project “Automated Machine”. It is a continuation of a solid foundation as a development. The possibility of reaching a main prototype is not small, but it is necessary to go through an additional redesign and finalization of the development. There is also a possibility for this project to reach not only a main prototype, but also a functioning pre-production prototype. To achieve this goal, it is necessary for the development to go through other processes that will help to upgrade and reach the final product. The potential of this development is not small, and the areas of application have interesting possibilities. The project “Lathe CNC Machines” is a base with already developed several conceptual variants, in the form of product sketches. They will be used as a basis for building final 3D models of products in mechanical engineering. The design and finalization at the level of 3D concepts could create a prerequisite for partnership with machine-building and hardware companies, with the opportunity to build larger projects in the field of metalworking machines. The goal of the project at this stage is to achieve conceptual 3D CAD models suitable for presentation. And this project would create a good image and potential for the future development of the brand “Fulmech Design”. The realization of this project as products depends on many large-scale processes and opportunities for their development as real products. The development of “Mechanical Simulator for Dogs” is in an advanced stage of development – with a basic prototype. The prototype needs to be rebuilt. This is a development that has gone through all the design stages and the development of test models and a basic prototype. The aim is to re-test the development, to move to a pre-production prototype and to focus on the final product. The project has a real basis that will bring it closer to a real product available to customers with specific needs.

City Bikes

Product sketches in this project, the conceptual solutions will be further developed and will go into more detailed construction of the structure and functional areas. The evolution of the modern bicycle is taking dynamic steps in its development as an engineering structure and appearance, different from the classic and generally accepted type for this widespread product. The change contributes to even more diverse solutions and engineering structures, different types of drive mechanisms, the use of new production technologies and types of materials. The aim of the project “City Bikes” is to develop products that meet specific characteristics in this area – design with its own identity, but subordinate to the function and ergonomics. In the developments it is possible to experiment with modular principles and disassembly of the entire structure. Specific technologies and materials will be taken into account to add value. The product sketches from the “Bicycles” project will be used as a basis for development – “City Bikes”. There are five basic concepts in it, of which two designs will be developed at first. There will be a gradual transition from Stage: “Conceptual Development” to the next stages of the project process “Product Design & Development” (see the process) – Stage: “3D Modeling”, Stage: “Models and Prototypes” and Stage: “Adaptation of Manufacturing”.

A project that will focus on the development of seats for various purposes. This will shape several major projects: “Ultra Compact Vehicle Seat”, “City Bus Seats” and “Game Cockpit Seat”. An already launched project – “Seats” will be used as a base. The available conceptual developments will serve as a basis for the development of each type of seat, with its respective purpose. In this project there is a development that has reached a pre-production prototype. The seat needs to meet basic characteristics to make it applicable and usable. The basic priorities must be focused on the specific field of application, clearly expressed functionality and balanced ergonomics between the seating and leaning areas. Achieving comfort during long periods of seat operation is also essential. Combinations of different types of materials also play a role in successful products in this area. Due to the greater sedentariness of modern man, the seats must have sufficient comfort – the specific needs and requirements of the body at work and in leisure time. The seats will be developed in two main directions – shell structures with fixed ergonomic volumes and folding structures, with the addition of additional ergonomic volumes. The project, shown in the form of a pre-production prototype, has reached the last stage of the project process – Stage: “Adaptation of Manufacturing”. Based on the conceptual developments in the project, seats with different applications will be further developed – “Ultra Compact Vehicle Seat”, “City Bus Seats” and “Game Cockpit Seat”. The project “Vehicle Interior” includes the development of a steering wheel with handles, control panel, joysticks with buttons and console devices. The project is directly related to another development – “Ultra Compact Vehicle”. The aim is to build an interior in the vehicle, based on the available conceptual developments. For the basis of this project is used another, which has reached Stage: “Conceptual Development” – “Steering Wheels with Joysticks”. Conceptual variants for the functional space in the vehicle will be built. Each product will be designed individually, gradually entering into a specific detailed development. This will lead to separate subprojects – steering wheel with joysticks, joysticks and dashboard panel. The aim is to build a harmonious project, built of specific products, meeting a number of functional, ergonomic and technological requirements. The processes in the two projects – “Ultra Compact Vehicle” and “Vehicle Interior” – will be synchronized, in view of the main direction for building a vehicle with certain goals – for a walk in nature; for transfer of materials and waste in production workshops, warehouses and farms; for delivery of mail and various types of utilities, etc. The project, shown in the form of Stage: “Conceptual Development”, is the basis for the development of “Vehicle Interior”. Ultra Compact Vehicles

A project that provides a starting point and basis for creating an ultra compact vehicles with an electric drive. The development will not have the characteristics and limitations of a specialized vehicle for the disabled, which is the basis of this project. The idea is for the vehicle to have a multicomponent concept in which a variety of functionalities will be developed. A modular type of vehicle will be built, with different applications – for a walk in nature; for transfer of materials and waste in production workshops, warehouses and farms; for delivery of mail and various types of utilities, etc. The project shown in this case is only the foundation of the overall development.
