Project

This is a product with particular application in the fields of marketing, statistic data processing and data analysis. Its application is related to measuring, through a sensor, the flow of people entering and exiting in shopping centers, business buildings, malls and different types of edifices. All this requires an analytical approach, taking into account the attendance and the periodicity of the stay in a certain place. This product is positioned at the entrance and exit in the interior of the premise to fulfill its function and purpose. The intent of the hardware housing panel is to place the components in a shielded structure that works optimally. My project was commissioned by the company “RID”.

Cantilever Device

Development

The development and communication took place with a team of the company – hardware and software specialists. It was necessary to position the equipment in a certain way without hindering the optimal functioning of the hardware components. The panel is assembled to a flat piece connected to a metal cantilever structure, and the hardware components are mounted to the inside of the panel. When designing the structure, I also took into account the need for an easy access to the components if they need to be replaced or partially repaired. I directed and consulted the company for their planned production of the hardware panel, suitable materials and production technology – vacuum forming of plastic. The metal module of the cantilever structure is also optimized when it comes to materials and manufacturing technologies.
