Project Description

Winter Soles – Foot Heater

Year: 2014 – 2015

Freezing legs in winter is a common problem that causes unpleasant sensations, discomfort and health problems. People are looking for a solution to the problem of cold and wet feet, as well as the dangers that hide from it. This project solves the problem in an extremely flexible way, based entirely on an innovative idea. I was involved in the development of the product, of Innovatronic Ltd., with the owner Todor Nestorov. In relation to development and implementation of innovation – OP “Innovation and Competitiveness”. The project is supported by years of experience and analysis. It was necessary to develop two basic principles for warming the feet.

Product Sketches

The development went through prototypes and functional models besides the basic simulations and test results. The product generates just as much heat as needed, through walking and the effect of it. Higher temperature isn’t necessary because of the order of 2-4 ° C is sufficient for sensitive shoe change. Overly warm legs are not so good for the health because it produces unpleasant sweating, foot fungus, rashes, eczema, etc. Heaters are used both in standard winter footwear and in hiking footwear – by adapting the shoe insoles or modular principle. One solution works with very good efficiency and can be adapted for production.
