PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Additional roof boxes for vehicles are a functional and convenient accessory that can be used in a wide range of car types. This is a frequently used product for long hikes, trips and excursions. This type of luggage roof boxes the role of an additional cargo compartment in which luggage is stored. They are designed for mounting on the roof of the vehicle, with the help of additional components. The specific project is aimed at this type of “roof box”, designed for installation on the roof of the vehicle. The purpose of the concepts – in the form of product sketches – is to select several options and then enter into more in-depth product development.

Based on the concepts, development will continue in order to achieve more optimal design solutions. There are various conceptual solutions in the project that need to be improved and optimized. Potential development is directed in the direction of a product range of different types of volumes, modules and variation in the overall dimensions of the roof boxes. The specific structures of the roof boxes compartments will be adapted to ready-made mechanisms and known principles for hanging – on the roof of the vehicle. The project will undergo changes, going through all stages and sub-stages of the project process “Product Design & Development”. Only after the finalization of these stages, the development will move to processes covering the realization of the product – implementation in production.
