PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Like any product, the seat has its own purpose and characteristics that it must cover. It is an example of how the product and the person should interact. Functionality and ergonomics are paramount for this type of product, combined with a balanced structure, production technology and materials used. The conceptual variants shown will continue their development in different directions: a seat to an ultra-compact vehicle; city bus seats; seats for wagon compartments; bus station waiting room seats; seats for exterior and interior spaces.

The seats will be targeted and developed for specific projects, going through the “Product Design and Development” project process and its stages. Current conceptual developments in the form of product sketches will be used as a basis. Different variations of the basic seat design will be experimented with, and their functional and ergonomic zones will be developed in more detail. It will rely on different types of design solutions and combinations of shell structures, reliefs, bent wooden and metal plates, pipe elements, etc. In the concepts, there are various combinations of production technologies and materials: composites, plastics, structures of metal details, and in some of the models there are even wooden details.
