It is always necessary in the kitchen to have furniture that creates comfort and covers the individual needs of people. This is one of the most used rooms in the interior of a home. Kitchen furniture should create an adequate feeling when using all the functional areas in them. The design of kitchen furniture is a real challenge due to the individual characteristics of each room, which is provided for the kitchen. Designing kitchen furniture is a real challenge, due to the individual characteristics of each room, which is intended for such an interior. This project was focused on kitchen furniture, single-row type, with fewer wall cabinets, focusing on more storage space in the lower area. The upper cabinets are experimented with as a structure and principle of their opening. To the main focus of the project – kitchen furniture – a variant of cabinets intended for a living room, associated with a smooth transition to the kitchen space, was added.

Development
The development went through a gradual process, starting with conceptual solutions – product sketches. The final design was reproduced in the form of a scale model. The design went through different types of corner and single-row kitchens, in order to find a well-functioning structure and the appropriate arrangement of the furniture module. All this was in accordance with the type of room for which the kitchen furniture was provided, as well as the logic of their function. The food storage zone(refrigerator) has been adapted; the zone for washing and preparation of food products; the zone for preparation and processing of food (stove) and serving. There are enough free zones and spaces in the main kitchen counter. Most cabinets are located in the lower furniture module, provided for storage of kitchen utensils and accessories. In the upper area, on the kitchen wall, there are two cabinets with an experimental structure and a test closure – type “roller blind”. The aim was to free up more space on the wall and to rely on small tiles. The color solutions were varied and focused mainly on the warm range. In the final version of the kitchen furniture completely changed the color concept, as well as some functional areas in the main structure of the furniture. The final color solution as a combination is not adapted to the scale model.
The living room cabinet set was an addition to the basic kitchen development. Going through product sketches and a previously prepared drawing adapted to a specific room, both for the kitchen cabinets and for the living room set. For this purpose, a scale model of the cabinet types and their arrangement was also made. The color was aimed at the gray range, and the closest possible one was used in the scale model, because in its original version the MDF boards had a light gray “metallic” effect.
