Leather bags are a preferred accessory among ladies, which often leads to the offer of a huge range of models on the market. This is a product with pronounced stylistic characteristics, in addition to the obligatory functional structure that it must have. Convenience, style and individuality, without a self-serving approach to design – these are the mandatory rules for achieving a good design of the leather bag. In this case, the project focused on models of leather bags, reproduced to several designs. The main structure of the bags is made of knitted leather structure – calfskin. The button is used as a distinctive detail in the basic design of the bags.

Development
From the very beginning, the development focused on several types of design, as well as the selection of certain color options, based on residual leather elements. Apart from the limited number of products from each design, another main requirement for the bags was the use of materials from another type of production – clippings from companies that make leather jackets, mainly from calfskin. Each detail went through sorting, inspection, cleaning and cutting as the size of the type of pieces. The next production operation was to connect the elements and shape the calfskin balls. Knitting was done by hand, building knitted leather structures, in view of the cut of the particular model bag. Knitting was done by hand, forming knitted leather structures, in view of the cut of the particular model bag. The buttons were a basic accessory, adapted to the main design of the bag. They were made mainly of polyester resin, and in some cases pigments and powdered fillers were added to strengthen the basic structure of the button. They went through manual processing – casting, mold building, grinding and surface refinement.
