Food delivery has become a fast growing business. The requirements for timely deliveries to customers are increasing with each passing year. Over time, the bicycle entered as a mainstream type of food delivery vehicle due to the ease of passing through pedestrian areas, further shortening the delivery route. The project arose out of a discussion of a specific problem in carrying backpacks adapted for food deliveries. Several conceptual variants of an external frame for backpacks intended for transporting food have been developed.

Development

The aim of the project is to develop a structure to control the position of the backpack while riding the bicycle. The backpack will be fixed in a “socket” adapted for the purpose, and its attachment will be carried out using elastic belts. Straps for carrying it will be adapted to the supporting structure. The main priority is to solve the problem of sudden movements of the backpack – during the control of the bicycle by the cyclist. The solution to this problem was approached with the development of different types of mechanisms. The possibility of trouble-free transportation of food in the backpack is the main goal of the development. It is necessary to approach different types of tests and optimize all functional zones in the structure. The project is at the level of conceptual development, but the foundations have been laid for the subsequent project stages.
