CNC Lathes

Year: 2017 | 2025

Project

In machine building, the need to adapt to new technologies is driven by the massive automation and digitization of manufacturing processes in the industry. The combination of hardware components, automation and mechanical parts is already present in the device and functions of any metalworking machine. This greatly changed the development, implementation and production of the metalworking machines. The universal lathe is just a small example of changes in the structure, working environment and interaction of the operator with the metalworking machine. The conceptual developments are focused on different types of structures of universal lathes.

Development

The concepts are in the direction of development of universal lathes, which cover a complete change of the basic structure, functional and ergonomic areas in the universal lathe. The main structure, parts and details are made of metal, but with the tendency to introduce other types of materials – composites, engineering plastics and other durable materials with high mechanical properties. The development of the working environment around the lathe implies new functional details and components for machine control; changes in functional zones; adaptation and implementation of control and touch displays, new principles for universal lathe control, etc.

“Universal Lathe” is part of the projects of Fulmech Design – a sub-brand of Solo Form.
