Copies of Car and Motorcycle Body Parts
Year: 2007 | 2008 | 2010 | 2013
Project
Custom products are a broad concept and difficult to fit into any frame, specific area, or product type. In this sphere are also copies of body kit parts for cars and motorcycles. These are types of articles that are mounted on the left or right side of a particular object, made up of a body kit set or module of different details. They may also be located in close proximity to each other. Their asymmetric structure makes them very specific during the process of making them. The complexity of the structure, the compliance with the volumes and the transitions, as well as the process of dimension transfer, makes this type of product a challenge. The need for craftsmanship is due to lack of detail, damage detail or stoppage of production.

Development
In the photo gallery you can see several examples of made copies of car and motorcycle body parts:
Production of a mirror object – cover body fairing for a Honda CX 500 motorcycle. The aim of the development was to reproduce the missing left cover, with optimal accuracy and adapted gripping zones.
Production of a side panel for a BMW car seat. The main purpose of the product was the usual development of a mirror detail. In addition to the front of the panel, an optimal mounting area had to be achieved at the rear as well – with structural elements provided for this purpose.
Production of a detail for the rear door – of a Toyota Corolla car. The product had to meet specific production requirements in the development process. The mounting area has a specific way of placement, which obligates the product to have maximum accuracy. In addition to recreating a mirror product, the technological technique was vital due to the complexity of the structure.
Production of a mirror product with an asymmetrical structure. The product is a side part of a product body kit set of spoilers for a motorcycle. The aim of the development was to reproduce a missing detail, with optimal accuracy.
Identical technologies were used for all copies of details. Industrial designer clay was used for the production of the main models, and standard composite technology – fiberglass and polyester resin was used for the production of the molds and the final products.
